ABOUT THE PROJECT

Situated within the bustling heart of Melbourne CBD, the proposed hotel sits along Flinders Street opposite the grand Flinders Street Station. The design comprises of tower and podium, with the tower setback and rising to 13 storeys and the podium scaled to street level by utilising the existing heritage façade that will be retained and restored. The tower is influenced by the heritage façade and the surrounding Flinders Street Station, with brown and grey sandstone panels to be interwoven with clear glazing and metal mullions. The proportion and scale of the proposed hotel forms a bridge between the neighbouring side buildings, creating a meaningful contribution to the Flinders Street streetscape.
